Koalas live in eastern Austrailia, where it feeds on eucalyptus trees. They live in tropical temperature, the eucalypt forest and woodlands and could be found along the eastern and south-eastern regions.
When a Koala is awake it feeds on eucalyptus leaves, especially in the night since there are nocturnal. Koalas don’t drink much water and they get most of their moisture from those leaves. The average Koala eats around 2.5 pounds or 1 kilogram of leaves each day. Most Koalas even store snacks of leaves in pouches in their cheeks.
Since an ecosystem consists of a community and physical factors in a specific location, a koalas’ ecosystem consists of forests that makes up its own territory. The forest includes trees necessary for the Koalas to survive and it provides water.
